Construct the Present

The Opportunity: In collaboration with Construct the Present, a diversity, equity and inclusion consultancy based out of the Pacific Northwest, I designed a digital program and developed content on the topic of racial identity modeling.

Derived from decades of research in psychology and education systems, these development models shed light on the range of experiences individuals encounter as they become aware of their race. Through self-reflection and awareness-building, these tools are designed to support our work towards anti-racist identities. The frameworks also help support teams’ intention of moving towards a more equitable and inclusive future, and build empathy in the process.

My Role: I developed the strategy, wrote and designed this content for Instagram, LinkedIn, email newsletters, and CTP’s blog. To learn more about racial identity modeling, read the blog post I developed here.

In addition to these social posts, I developed a framework to support CTP’s work with organizations. Available upon request.

All of this work is informed and inspired by Dr. Janet Helms (White Racial Identity Model) and Joy and John Hoffman (Integrated Model).
