Women On Boards Inaugural Impact Report
Impact Report | Case Study
———————————————————————
In 2024, only 28% of board seats were occupied by women. Women On Boards Project is a mission-driven organization dedicated to changing this.
After nearly five years in operation, we released our inaugural Impact Report.
Our core objectives:
Showcase comprehensive impact of Women On Boards Project
Reinforce thought leadership and credibility in the industry
Amplify reach and increase engagement with this movement overall

RESEARCH
To help inform our strategy, we had a multi-pronged research approach to understand a full snapshot of our impact to date – and to better understand our target audiences – prospective candidates, companies, and sponsors.
Data Collection
With nearly five years of operations under our belt, there were a lot of questions we wanted to answer, like: How much has our community of women grown? How many of our board placements are first-time board members? How many placements are women of color or LGBTQ+?
2. Competitive Audit
Our goal was to answer questions, like: How are similar nonprofit organizations conveying their social impact? What are they doing well – and where is the opportunity for us?
3. Stakeholder Surveys
With such a robust, active community of stakeholders – from board placements and prospective candidates, to sponsoring companies and partners, the goal was to gather qualitative data from the diverse people that drive W Project. These humanized stories were important and complementary to the quantitative results.
STORYTELLING & DESIGN PRODUCTION
Once we had all of our data synthesized, it was time to weave together the narrative and align with leadership on the final content.
I architected the content strategy, led wireframing in Figma, and led our team of copywriters and PR through the production phase.
