Haikus in July
My July goal was to write more and to take more pictures "just for fun".
Not for Instagram or for work. Instead, those raw, unedited gems that seldom make it into the picturesque feeds.
After 11 days of writing and unbeautified photos, I failed miserably at keeping up with the daily challenge.
It may not be a months worth of content, but here are the haikus and pictures from days 1 through 11.
1
USDA who
I'm a papaya enzyme
Active culture you
2
Valencia, love
Heath Ledger doppelgänger
Thrift store buyer thrills
3
Ethiopian
Alamo square under me
When I crave a view
4
I'm free, I'm tea drunk
New faces equals presence
I'll unwrap this one
5
I'm cold standing here
Why can't we just jump in yet?
Meet you in the sea
6
Strolling strangers meet
Curiosity is new
And it crowned the cat
7
Too spicy to taste
Too ego to touch for real
So I'll just leave now
8
Ocean for breakfast
Fog wind and my tired legs
Can we go home now
9
We are hot, dripping
Our only qualm is the skin
Peeling from our flesh
10
You don't realize
How contagious laughing is
Until you're on Bart
11
Sweet sounds, nostalgia
Energetic teenagers
Fall in love tonight
